The numbers are out.

Total revenues for the quarter grew 18.8 percent, or $33.8 million to $213.8 million, compared with $180 million in the prior year period, driven by strong growth in the Company's key Consumer Floral, BloomNet Wire Service and Gourmet Food and Gift Baskets categories.

Of the $33.8M in growth, approx $21M was in in Gift/Gourmet (mostly from the addition from the purchase of the Fanny Mae chocolates). The home gifts division sales declined $2M.

Conference call at 11 am Eastern, 8 am Pacific.

800 flowers POS

"the Company introduced several new products and services designed to help its BloomNet florists enhance their revenue growth and profitability, including web hosting and a point-of-sale store management system."

Is this MAS or there own system?

Opinions please -- Is 800 bigger in revenues than Teleflora? Teleflora has obviously got more florists, but it really seems to be losing interest, and frankly, relevance. Some cute containers (for those rich enough to afford them) but just no spark as a company, and nothing that seems to suggest that "hey, we're still a player". 1800 seems to be increasing its size and relevance every day.

Hey hey. Its good to be a bloomnet member!!!

Did any one else see those increase in profits and sales being associated with 1800flowers?

Wow to turn the tables around in just one year.

HOW DID THEY DO THAT!!!! :hammer:

It dosen't matter my stock price is over 8 bucks compared to when I bought them for 4.75.

Thanks boomnet members!! You Rock!!!

Our experience has been that TF is horrible. The worst (florist) customer service of any company on the planet. They will lie and steal from you. FTD makes mistakes but their customer service will fix the mistakes. 1800 has been the best - not getting rich off of them but at least they are honest and make few mistakes. Becareful with Florist to florist orders - there are no provision to keep a florist from sending you and order - that you fill - and then change the price on you after you fill the order. This happens rarely but it does happen. We have also had a few complaints from receipents that certain orders were marginal.

During the quarter, the Company also achieved double-digit revenue growth in its BloomNet Wire Service and Gourmet Food and Gift Basket categories. "Our BloomNet Wire Service business continues to gain momentum as top quality florists throughout the country embrace our value proposition," said McCann. BloomNet sales for the period increased approximately 39 percent to $12.7 million and gross profit margin improved 190 basis points to 51.9 percent. During the quarter, the Company introduced several new products and services designed to help its BloomNet florists enhance their revenue growth and profitability, including web hosting and a point-of-sale store management system.

florists enhance 800fz bottom line
