There she was in all her slippered glory, commuting to her kitchen to begin her day... as a "designer" for 1-800 flowers. She loves gardening, so why not translate this love in to a job from home...

Why not indeed.

No... sadly haven't been to the lake for awhile. There was a segment on "Working from Home" on the Today show... this dear soul was featured... designing for 1-800-flowers. Sorry I didn't make it clear on the first go round. ;)

Summary of the segment about telecommuting on today's Today Show - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7254610/
Martha Libby's love of gardening made her the perfect match for 1-800-FLOWERS, as did the chance to avoid getting in the car to go to work.
It appears she's an operator and not a designer. Would be more interesting if they were allowing their 'artisans' to make up the orders out of their houses.

Well, the person I saw... was designing in her kitchen. That was the bulk of her part of the segment. I was surprised more by the concept than the action.
