From todays' OC Register, a slide show of the 16 ugliest uniforms in sports history.

You guys will have a fun time walking through the past on this one. The Astro's and Vancouver hockey team's duds have got to win 'worst evah'.

Did they miss any? (Most men's tennis outfits from the 70's anyone?)

Wish they'd take on the ugliest mascots. Has to be the orange and maroon turkey from Virginia Tech. ;)

Even as a tween I wondered if the Astros were embarassed to wear those rainbow shirts. Although when Joe Sambito was playing I was only looking at his butt!

Even though Charles Barkley is my favorite basketball player ever, I think he was wrong about the Rockets' uniform. I liked that one.

OMG! Those were some seriously ugly uniforms! What was up with the rainbow look?

One of the first things I notice about a sports team is the color and style of their uniforms.

One of my favorite uniforms is the Carolina Blue, Black and Silver-White of the Carolina Panthers....and it's NOT just because I'm from the Carolinas! LOL!
 
Penn State's white on white with a blue stripe football uniform.

If too much color is bad, as is illustrated in the OCregister, then too little is just as bad.
 
Well the Beaverz here are black and orange - what a great color combination huh?

Now I ask you - why not pink? :dunno::bangles::ssmoke

Those were brutal! As long as my beloved Boston Red Sox and Detroit Red Wings are on the list...
 
Sorry, my computer blipped off. I meant to say, As long as the Red Sox and Wings ARE NOT on the list, I'm OK w/it.

OMG, your post reminded me our grade school mascot was a beaver and the colors were also black & orange.

All 6th Grade girls became cheerleaders for the PTA basketball teams and we wore orange sweaters and black 'Poodle skits' but the poodles were faux fur beavers. :boggles:

Luckily, no one ever got a photo of me in the uniform but my brother had a shot of my sis and blew it up poster size for her 40th birthday. lol
