I was at the Apple store today, the crowd in there did not get the memo that it's a recession and we should stop spending money! I was in there for a repair and waited for a while; let me tell ya there were thousands being spent by people, no lie.
Also on the way home listening to the radio, there was a story about these lobstermen:
"High gas prices are cutting into profits in the commercial fishing business. But some lobstermen, who work off the coast of Maine, are using the Internet in innovative ways to expand the market and keep profits rolling in." Link to the full story here.
My favorite part of the story is that they send out these lobster dinners and they CALL each of the customers to say "hey, I'm the guy who caught your lobster, just making sure it got there and everything's ok." They also offer tips on preparation, etc.
Now that right there my friends is customer service!
Anyway, lots to think about.
