30 percent of all Teleflora.com purchases

These discounts put huge pricing pressure on local florists - whether we're in wire services or not.

With the cost of flowers, containers, labor and especially delivery (with gas prices rising weekly) during V Day, florists really can't absorb the discounts - either through WSs or giving those deals direct to consumers - and remain profitable.

What's interesting is that when I put in my zip code on TF products and things that are cheap, it says they are not avavilable in this zip code.

January blues have got me...and this kind of shyte just makes me feel like I am fighting a losing battle...

I am constatntly feeling like I never do enough...I just fried my home computer that I just spent half a day uploading images onto for manipulation...It sucks, I am getting burnt out again just trying to make a grade a effort at making this business work and everytime I make strides in one direction 3 or 4 things come by and knock my ass down like superman just punched my in the chest, Ka Pow!!!!

its going to be a GREAT one!
I have a pile of flowers ordered!
but I did cut my roses back by 1/2.
Last year the only way I got rid of most of my roses was to put one or 2 in every bunch of cuts.

But Gerberas I can't keep enough of in the store!

Linda, I know I am trying not to get on the computer or talk to too many people today..I am a Debbie Downer and I don't like when I get like this it affects my business way too much, maybe I need to go home and hide from the world until my tude adjusts...

Yep... it lowers the bar for everyone... almost...

Like I tell my customers: You DO get what you pay for... keep that in mind when something looks too good to be true...

I ended up joining a new gym, hopefully some exercise will get my mind back to happy days...

TF sux, there that made me feel better..I can't even think about giving anyone a discount right now especially with the whole sale prices climbing up and up..I barely feel like I can charge the regular markup anymore...People are even commenting on how the prices for flowers are going up everywhere even the grocery store...yikes! that is scaryt thought, but what the heck do people think when everything around us is skyrocketing..it is only natural for the cost of everything else to go up too. I really don't like paying 6 bucks a lb for amer cheese especially when I used to pay 2 bucks a lb, but what do you do...
