February 26 2008, we had our 10,000 sq ft design center burn, really melt is the correct word. We found a store front the following day, and were up and operational exactly 3 weeks to the day after the fire. Needless to say we are still in a temporary location (a year later) and have no idea when there will be any work done on the building (we rented). We have been fortunate to this point, but it is tuff living with the uncertainty for over a year. I will say that RTI (and teleflora) were very helpful and had their tech here immediately to get things in order. Our phones are forwarded to an answering service so our customers were informed of what happened. Did it hurt our business, not really sure because during the same time the economy was tanking.

I hope there is one person at the shop that in spite of it all can keep a "happy" outlook because times are tuff dealing with all that goes on after the fire and that one person (or people) will be what is needed to keep the moral up.

What an awful thing to have happen! I wish them well.

Buffie emailed them and offered our help and support in any way, and even offered that they could work from our location for a while if they needed to, citing our very large cooler and design area.

They thanked us for the offer, and said they would be up and running soon. Fortunately, they don't seem to down about it!

You wonder sometime that if a fire would happen if it is a blessing in disguise.

The reason I say this, Imagine the crap we could get paid and get rid of and staff brand new.

Won't happen to me, I am in a mall and full of sprinkler systems. Darn!
