I just heard on NPR that Georgia's Govenor wil be dropping the gas tax for the rest of this month, which will be 15 cents less. Also, they are going after stations who are gouging people.. like the ones charging $6 a gallon.

How about going after the oil companies

I am sure they are making their share no matter what. I know there is some oil rigs out of commission but the place they get oil is working fine. THe oil companies in my opinion is still making tons of money and more. THey have the power to sayNO MORE INCREASE but prefers to increase so they don't loose too much money.

Do you really think the price of fuel will go down as fast as it came up?
Do you really think the price will drop as fast and big jump like it went up?

I will be very surprise if it does....

It has been reinforced in the media that the area of the gulf coast is responsible for 10% of our nations production of gasoline.... 10%????
Makes it gouging even more, even if it went up .30/gal
I still say.....email or phone your federal reps...senators & house....demand non-partisan and non-lobbyist investigations.

Well, someone is making out like a bandit. The oil companies have posted record earnings. One company had a 56% increase (wish I could remember the name, but my head exploded at about that moment).

Our premiere back pedalled on yet another election promise... regarding 90 day freezes on fuel increases. Of course I'm not surprised, the man is an expert in riding backwards.
