Yesterday, our front gardens were visited by more than 700 people on an 8 home tour as part of our city's annual "Fullerton Beautiful" activities.
Below are a few photos of the passionate work of my husband - who has spent countless hours to create the formal Japanese setting in the inner courtyard. It's truly a retreat.
From left to right -
1) A view of the left side from the entry gate with art trees of pine and cypress and babytears groundcover. There's a Foo Dog to the right (part of a pair that guard the entry bridge over the pond)
2) Raphis palm, azaleas and bamboo at the pond's edge.
3) Art tree of pittosporum and topiary of olive.
4) Koi, succulents ( 18-24" in diameter).
5) Waterfall with rock and pebble path. The bamboo bench at the top left is for viewing the garden and canyon behind the house.
For those of you that are passionate gardeners or love growing things, hope you enjoy the photos.
