A Hammer

I have to make a hammer for a construction worker...

Just wondering how many bunches of white poms would it take to make a hammer on an oasis design sheet...I am thinking 10 as long as I can find open ones...

Lori, have you ever done these large pieces with footballs? I find it goes twice as fast, & they're always full and no waste. How large is this going to be?

I made an 18" baseball with fugis the other day...not sure of the actual size I will know for sure after I get the sheet and carve it...

Here it is

This is the finished hammer...It took a full sheet of styrofoam and 6 bunches of white poms, 4 red chenille stems, a spray of silver and a spray of saffron paint...1/4 bunch of laurel...it measures 40" x 28"...

She wanted to pay for a basic shape without tons of money going into labor for artistic addons...I think she is going to be happy...
