I brought in Painted Pumpkin Palz (their spelling not mine) from a farm in Oregon. They sold really well. :)

Wow...You are very talented!

Many years ago, before I got into flowers, before kids, before marriage, etc... to make extra money I carved into pumpkins - the logos of each store on our Main Street. Once I got one store to bite, they all had to bite. I put an extra $1000 in my pocket for a rainy day.

You need to market your talents to all the business establishments for Halloween. I bet you'd make a pretty penny.

Some of you know that I paint pumpkins this time of year. It is a relaxing alternative to my everyday work. I thought I would share with you one that I did for the local Texas Roadhouse.

And your placing those between the flower cooler and the lottery machine?

You think of some great ideas. Where is the reputation button!!

By the way, the lottery is doing well. For being a small market florist, it has really helped the walk-in traffic. I am turning the cooler pieces finally. I sell more off the floor and adding more customers to my base. I am always thinking!

I thought of you today as I was in a gift shop here in Lansing and they sell only things that are connected to, made in or authored by a Michiganian...and lottery tickets. Made me think of you right away.

I was there for about a half hour and they sold a bunch of them while I was there.

Rewolf, I agree with you on marketing those painted pumpkins. Carving I cannot do to save my life.
I know Halloween/Fall is still a big decorating holiday for many including businesses

My husband was agreeing with you all about marketing them to businesses, especially restaurants and bars. I have a few businesses that buy one every year but I find that giving them away is a great marketing tool in itself. On the back of the pumpkin I put my shop name and all contact information, including the website. I can usually find logos of businesses on their websites and they love the pumpkins. Last night at dinner, I booked a wedding consultation with one of the employees at Texas Roadhouse because she came over to talk to me about the pumpkin.
