Lawsuits are sometimes someones way of making the american dream a reality...
Here in MA, we have a huge problem of prople renting out roms in their basements, these are not apartments, just rooms constructed in basments no really supposed to be lived in...last week there was a fire in one of those basements and someone died...The mans mother is now sueing the landlord for 3 million dollars...this to me is ludacrous...
Ludacrous because both parties knew it was not a real apartment, these people are looking for cheap places to stay and know to find this they must live in basements illegally...not that it makes it right, but 3 million dollars WTF? If I walk out of my house tomorrow and get hit by a car is my husband due 3 million dollars because an acceident happened....God forbid....This is why I pay 6500.00 a year just for insurance for my business...I pay another 3000 for insurance for my personal vehicles and apartment insurance...that's a whole lot of cash so that the underprivledged can get ahead on frivolous lawsuits...
