I'm not a big fan of asian design just because it's not what the larger percentage of my customers would like (and we have very few opportunities to purchase great product like ginger, orchids, anthurium etc) but that being said, Accent Decor's new T Squared videos with Hitomi are wonderful.
I just viewed their second video (they have a youtube channel) or become a fan on facebook for the links.
I have a customer who is very contemporary driven and wants something special for Thursday, can't wait to try the aspidistra split.....

thanks for sharing - you rock!

that aspidistra split got me thinking fora twist in one of our val special.

I imagine you are talking about how she splits the aspidistra and then inserts it into the foam in diffrent places to cover the foam???

Yeah, that little trick won me the Zia cup. Everyone thought I braided the aspidistra....I just let them think that.
I remember seein her do that in class for the fist time. She did it all quick and you know me.... I was like "Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute! Show that again- in slow motion!" She laughed,, and did.

I told my new boss today I wanted to be Hitomi when I grow up! She laughed at me too.

Have to go with Shannon and company on this one........I could watch Hitomi all day long and not get tired. Can you imagine the tricks you would have learned working at her shop? A former co-worker of mine was procurement chairman for a local convention here and when we got Hitomi's list.......You would not beleive how detailed it was, even down to the shapes of the glass vases.
