I have a request to create a new and unique patriotic tribute with the "wow" factor, price not an option for a WWII vet's funeral. This is not a family piece but a friend of the family piece. I have a lobe block when it comes to working with red, white, and blue especially for sympathy work. I don't want it to look cheesy. The ideas popping in my head are the normal wreaths, etc. I want to impress....show me how to do red, white, and blue!:dunno:

I personally don't like red, white, blue in a polka dot pattern. I think it's more striking grouped by color. I would start with a strong, masculine base like grapevine or large bold leaves. Then create a piece like TF205-2. I also like TF196-2, which can be made pretty large with a companion piece at the lower crossbar. Good luck!

Going to suggest a different take. This idea was done for a musician, but you coulld adapt it for a vet.

depending on the dollar value......take a 6 foot length of fence wire and take grapevine and make six lines with a crossing line going verticle at the beginning....the idea is to mimic a line of sheet music.

Using your red, white, and blue flowers - Place the flowers at the points on the music that would correspond with the notes of our national anthem.
