I went to the AIFD website to look at their book that they had for sale on their site, 'AIFD book of floral terminology'. I know that you can get this book as part of the signing up for the program but I was more interested in obtaining the book not necessarily plunking down $500 for the application process, etc.

AIFD has changed their site and I don't see where you can purchase anything from their site. You used to be able to purchase DVD's from there as well.

Anyway, in searching google, I found that Farrell's Florist, Drexell, PA, has the book for sale on their website. I didn't know florists could sell this book.

Anyone have any information?

which book are you talking about?

The purple and green one with the irises on the cover or the orange book?

I have both books.

You can buy the Book with the irises on it at Amazon or any book store for that matter, they may have to order it, but you can get it. I think it's about $90.
The copyright on this book is 2005

Then when I signed up for AES (the test to become AIFD) they sent me a book as well. It has an orangish red flower on the cover. It has a copyright of 2001. It was $150 to sign up, and then they sent me the book. I signed up last year was going to test this year, and ya know stuff happens....anyhoo-

I doubt that answers your question, But there ya go.

To Access the PUBLIC MARKETPLACE section of the AIFD website - Go to the home page, scroll over to marketplace, click on the little arrow icon - that brings up the public marketplace - the green terminology book is slightly under 100.00 for non-members.

Now, as a part of the new CFD program, that book is a part of it as much of the enhanced written exam is taken from there.

Shannon, thanks for the info! I had tried Amazon but couldn't locate one there. Might have been out of stock at the time.

Ricky, I totally see now where it is on their site. If you go to their site and place your curser over the "marketplace" there is a drop down box that says " member marketplace". There is no other choice. I didn't realize that if you click on the word "marketplace" it could take you somewhere else. Just one of those computer dummy things. Thanks!!!
