Hello to all FlowerChatters that have registered for the AIFD Symposium in Kansas City,

It is promising to be a grand affair. Great education, great fun, great friendships, great food and of course, great flowers!

Make the most of your symposium trip by joining the volunteer gang. We promise, this is THE group to be a part of. You won't want to miss out on all the fun and frivolity. This is the best way to meet new friends and be "in the know" on all the symposium happenings. Besides, we all know it is way cool to get to see the stuff before everyone else.

Plan now to be part of the "behind the scenes" action. If you would like more details, send me a note as soon as possible. The lists have begun!

OMG....that's my big butt in the first picture!!!!!! James is a good friend and we were asked to be a part of the design team.

The one AIFD volunteer effort that I WILL make every effort to assist with is the 'Blooms Over' project.

We take the stage designs, extra workroom flowers, left-overs, etc. - break them down, clean the flowers up, and re-assemble them into small handtieds, drop them in vases generously donated by one of the vendors......and proceed to distribute them to area nursing homes, hospitals, and other places so that those less fortunate can enjoy the beauty of flowers.

ALL of you who are planning to attend from FlowerChat - I hope to see you all at some point on the assembly line for this worthwhile effort.
