I was asked to create a Mad Hatter/ Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland type arrangement for a 30th birthday party. I'm so excited as I think this will be pretty fun!

The specs:
-under $100
-must have a few peonies (yes, for next week so there goes a lot of the budget)
-a few fiddlehead fern curls
-unusual flowers and details
-color freedom
-must be easy enough to transport in the buyer's car for a 5 hour drive.

I like this idea so much that I might also do this for an ISES event this week where I'm making a bunch of cocktail arrangements and a large registration arrangment. Thinking tea cups for the mad hatter.

I have a feeling this will become a common request to florists in the next few months so does anyone want to help me brainstorm? What would you design?

How fun! Did you see the movie? Lots of color, I'd want to include the hat too. I never cared for Alice in Wonderland but love Tim Burton and of course, Johnny Depp!

Well, "Happy Un-Birthday" to the 30 yr. old!

Here is a "new" foliage I just discovered last week. Called "Spiderman" grevillia. I have always loved grevillia in the early fall, but this is wonderful, and super in-expensive. I'm getting a bunch of 10 stems for I think $6.95.

I looks a lot like pincushion protea, there are three of them in this design. And the sort of pine-looking green behind the design is it's foliage.
