a young client just left...she lost her best friend in an accident on the same stretch of road that caused yesterday's closed highway accident...she nearly had me in tears...didn't know what or how to do it....
I "helped" her chose a bouquet of her favourite mini gerbs, and suggested that she leave it by the roadside where her best friend lost her life on Sunday........
She was looking at it, and looking at it, and couldn't bring herself to pick up the bouquet...so, I printed up a banner that read "To My Very Best Friend", and fastened it to the bouqet, and she burst into tears......"it's perfect now".....

It's always hard to lose them, especially when they're young. I've lost a lot of family and friends but it's always the young ones that hurt the most.

Good job, Mikey. It's always tough dealing with people who've suddenly lost someone close. Your service is going to help her healing process - in good part because we as florists have to feel their pain to help them, rather than keeping things distant and cold. I'm sure she's better for having visited your shop.

It's always a difficult thing helping people in this situation. It's always brand new and you have to hold to together yet not to the point of over using the business front and yet when you let yourself feel their sorrow you don't want to entirely lose it either. Takes a lot of inner strength and self-control of which I am challenged every time. Good job Mike! Not easy!!

*hug* Mike...just *hug*
