an odd question.

point of order

To honour some people with the title "florist" just because they own a flower shop, is one giant leap in my mind,i prefer to say "they sell flowers from a shop, and are merely (best title i can laud them with "flower sellers").Theres a world of difference.....
Just because i've got narrow wrists and a water proof watch, that dont make me a gynacologist!!!!

Oaf - before you can become one - yer gonna have to learn to speel eet!

ok...so we all know that people who own flowershops are called "florists", but are people who own nurseries called "nursists"?.

what do you call nursery owners (besides nursery owners of course :) )???

Does your "link" to your new site Floraltropia...if I am reading it right...create a way for non florists to come back into to Flowerchat...just curious why you would have a link on your posts to the "outside world"...

no. non-florists are not allowed membership to flowerchat. i am just getting started with that site. there is a lot of work do do, but i envision it as an all-encompassing site for floral hobbyists, pros, plant and garden folk, and anyone else to join build a open-community to, basically, waste time with :)

one of the things that floraltopia already offers is a free "community" creation area that would allow pro florists to basically make a virtual shop online. their community could be the name of their shop, and then they can upload pics and videos and blog etc etc, and allow their customers to "join".

its a free way to create a new type of connection with the y-gen'ers. hopefully some of you will give it a whirl when you have a chance.
