Yesterday we got our first inquiry to see if we could deliver a dozen red roses for $49.99 total. I have to say my designer laughed at them and told them good luck (1-800). The agent told her he will find someone to fill it.... She bid them GOOD LUCK ON THAT ONE!!

Last night received an order for Premium roses $69.99 delivered from Blooms Today, I bid them a GoodBye, told them not to send again with our appropriate money. Got it back today same amount.....OMG.... get a clue... I will not sell flowers to you under the price I charge my customers...

I guess we will be hitting the reject button quite often, but hey, I know where it is..

My Integrity is on the line...

I also got two today by wire...one for $23.00 short on two dozen, one for $31.00 short on one dozen...why do they think they should be entitled to a discount that my local customers do not enjoy?
I let them know: please send price change or cancel...if everyone did that maybe they would understand that they must sell for MY price~
By this time next week, it will be REJECT city!

Got one for a small bubble bowl with just daisies in it but it needed to go over 10 miles out in the country they gave me a GRAND total of $30.01 told them I needed another $6 to go that far. Guess what they wanted it canceled I said OK and any way my mininum is $35.00. Its was From You Flowers guess they don't need to flow the mininum on a wire order.

You can put a BLOCK on the shops you don't want doving you orders.
Sometimes, once in a while they still get through but you get less of the stupid ones.
Also, If you don't want OG orders, call the OG and tell them to put you on their "do not send" list

Yesterday, I had to actually put TF.com on our Blocked list.
They continually send us orders that don't have enough for delivery, or below our minimum, or the total is less than what we can do the order.

We have our minimums printed very clearly in the directory and the dove directory look up, so there is no reason they should be sending us these stupid orders.

We tried to be nice and send and inquiry, with a message of what it requires to fill their order, but they just automatically refuse the order, and since we are the only TF shop here the order just spins in the cue and gets sent right straight back to us by default.

So I finally had enough. We were going to just shut the dove off period, but usually the ONLY problem orders are from OG's, regular flower shops always follow the rules that TF put in place, you know, look up the minimum, look up the delivery, etc..

I tried to very calmly and plainly explain my situation to the person at TF, they said they could do nothing about it... I said , well that's a shame that TF can not follow the same rules that put into place, she apologized up and down (I think they have a class on learning how to say 'I'm sorry' a thousand time). I was very nice but very matter-of-fact of our situation. I don't have time to play the reject game.

So now they will be forced to cal us and that should eliminate part of the problem, I hope. Emphasis on 'I hope'

A day or two ago I had to reject about 4 orders that came in overnight from from you flowers. Dozen medium roses for $49.99 including delivery for the 14th!

I also rejected one of their orders for yesterday's delivery at around 8:30 am. It came back to me 2 more times. Then, at 10 minutes before 4 o'clock they called to see if we could still make that delivery yesterday (Saturday.) I think the order keeps going around their computer to other shops before a real person actually touches it, and then they call.

A few years ago a TF Rep told me how to "block" a shop on my Dove after I explained that I had to reject the same order 3 or 4 times on a busy holiday. I did block them but I still kept getting orders from them. I don't know how the "block" really works.

call them if the orders keep coming through...

speak to a manager and tell them that you will not fill their orders, period, and to take you off their list of florists to send to.

The BLOCK is a REQUEST, not a FILTER!

When we re-joined Teleflora back in 2004 after having kicked out FTDI, we used the DO NOT SEND option to BLOCK OUT DA SKIMMERS.

Found out that option was NOT LIKE A SPAM FILTER, but just a request, which was sent to those SKIMMERS to remove us from their FILLER LIST. And none of them would ever respect our request!

Now, the reason we dumped FTDI and after being a member for over 34 years, the last 20 being an ONLY, was due to the problem we were having with their DOT.CON and all their D'OG's and OG's.

SRP's TOO LOW, TOO HIGH DISCOUNTS, too many caveats and demands, and too much $ervice for NO EXTRA MONEY.

After 3 years with Teleflora, we found ourselves in the same trap again, and left them too, for the very same reasons.

Their PRINTERS, with the exception of other REAL FLORISTS like ourselves with REAL ORDERS in REAL 2009 DOLLARS, wound up to be an OPEN BACK DOOR into our cash registers, a REAL FLORIST'S achilles heel.

Just didn't have the time on the Holidays, especially during VD WEEK, to play a TRIAGE PHYSICIAN at the scene of THEIR ACCIDENTS, while we have our own REAL PATIENTS to deal with in our own EMERGENCY ROOMS willing to pay us in 100% DOLLARS along with our 100% $ERVICE CHARGES. They are worthly of our LIFE SAVING SKILLS and unlike the infected DOT.CON's with their TERMINAL DISEASES.

It's all about YOU, and WHAT'S IN YOUR WALLET, NOT THEIRS!

Let them all GO AS LOW AS THEY CAN GO! Just don't allow yourselves to be a part of THEIR RUSH TO THE BOTTOM, otherwise they'll take you along with them.

I heard this joke the other day: It's like a passenger telling you that, they had THE BEST CABIN on the TITANIC.

Only a supervisor has authority to make you a "do not send" at most OG's. You will NEVER get a hold of a supervisor if you wait until Wed to do this. I would suggest you do it ASAP.

Also, OG's do not care what your minimum is. They will change it in their system, they will select ANY florist in the city regardless of minimums after the first refusal. They are just hoping you are too busy to catch a lowball order.

DITTO on That!

TOTO,

That posts gets an AMEN here on a Sunday

They are just re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic...

Their Orchestra's are always playing the same old songs while expecting their members to dance to it!

"Nearer My God to Thee" was played as the final tune and just before the Titanic sunk.

This is the best description of their "mess" I have ever heard !!!
AMEN !!
I want to make a poster of this quote.

Just as I said they would. We got three today $30.01 - our minimum is $40. They obviously changed my minimum this morning. I'm actually surprised I'm not getting it for $25.49. I guess they're giving the florist $4.52 out of their $12.99 service fee or their rebate or their commission - lol. So kind of them to throw me a tiny crumb to cover half of my avg cost per delivery.

They are giving you their REBATE..that is why the order is $30.01...$30.00 does not get a rebate!
We are chock full of those orders today too!
