Hi AngelRose, Thanks for your interest in our community. You stated that you work from your home, do you have a business license? Do you charge/pay sales tax? Also, do you have proper refrigeration and a designated flower processing area?

Answering these questions will better help the membership evaluate your business. Thanks!

Angelrose Floral & Event Design

Hello Everyone,

I hope that your all well. I just I would take some time to let you know more about my business in Etobicoke. My background is in the design field as well. I studied Fashion Design at George Brown College and graduated 1998. I also worked as a photographer and then worked on my photography diploma 2004. I then found the Canadian Institute of Floral Design and got my formal training in 2004. So putting together all of educational background has been a great for me. I have great pictures of my work, and can work with all different kinds of fabric to use in my designs.

I am Freelance Floral Designer. Yes working from my home for now. I have registered my business since January 2007. I have my vendor's permit and business number. I have my GST & PST number.Yes I charge tax and claim all my taxes twice a year.

I do have an area to process the flowers that I get in and have refrigerated area for after. Working for three different flower shops and my educational background this is the most important step to having great flowers to work with. Proper hydration and care is always at the top of my list. I have worked the floral industry for about seven years before going on my own. January 2007 was the start working for myself and being able to be more creative. The website that I have up right now is only one page right now. I was in the middle of a wedding show and valentine's when the page went up. I am working on the completion of the site as we speak.

Thank you for questions and I hope this answered them. Wishing you all a great weekend.

As coincidences go ... Nada & I both attended Silverthorn Collegiate. I hadn't seen her in over ten years until she attended Floral Summit '08. (That, alone, is a positive in my mind - anyone smart enough to come to Floral Summit is worth having! ;))
