Just got this email......fantastic........yeah I am sure it has a lot to do with all the action out here but FTD seems to have stepped up to the plate twice in less than 45 days to get rid of the pond scum and bottom feeders!~
Effective immediately, FTD has removed Member #10-6336AA, Lovin' Blooms located in Macon Georgia, from FTD due to continuous violations of FTD Standards, including order curtailment and failure to comply with FTD's code of conduct. In addition, they have marketed their business under various names and Web sites, including:

aflorist.net
flowershope.com
floristconnection.com
lovinblooms.com
flowers4canada.com
floristseverywhere.com
flowersunder50.com
floralthoughts.com
afloristusa.com
While you may still receive orders from Lovin' Blooms through other wire services, FTD has decided to take action regarding this unacceptable behavior by terminating Lovin' Blooms' membership and disconnecting their Mercury Network connection.

If Lovin' Blooms or any of their other businesses try to phone an order to you, FTD recommends that you refuse that order as it is not an FTD order, and we will not be responsible for payment of that order.

FTD Member Florists take great pride in their outstanding reputation of high quality floral products and superior customer service. It is our job at FTD to protect all members from florists who do not adhere to the FTD Standards, including the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, high quality floral products and superior customer service.

If you have any questions, please contact FTD Member Services at 800-788-900

This is a long time coming. FTD started disciplining this company in October of 2004. It seems they didn't take the hint.

Good on you, Mike S and team.

Yep... just when ya thought nothing was happening.... Yipee Kiya!

NEXT....?????

What about Mall Wart? Florists really have no say in any of this. It is all about when it effects the WS bottom line. So being cheery is silliness. You did not have any effect on FTD.

Gee, these overdue actions sure make the Walmart deal better, don't they?

I believe that is what I said. Florists have no control or say-so on the Mall Wart deal or on the decision to drop Lovin Blooms and to think otherwise is like saying ants drive cars.

Not cars... but TRUCKS they do!

I ask this, if it was not for florists and consumers, why would they make a move like this?? and like Vancouver?? Surely it's not ethics...and surely they still want the associated CASH and order volume...

Why then?

It is about the bottom line. It is about stockholders. It is about those things only. Corporations by defintion are sociopaths. They do not "care", they do not have any emotions, they do not have souls, they are not like us in any way. It is all about the MONEY.

It is not about the florists. WSs do not care about the florist except to USE them for same day delivery. If they could figure a way around that, they would. Well I think that they have figured a way around: Mall Wart, cookies, gifts, fullfilment centers etc. (And ants do not drive trucks either.)

Any business has to be concerned with their bottom line, why you expect WSs to be different is beyond me. We routinely make decisions that are every bit as Machiavellian as a wire service or we wouldn't stay in business for long. Think about it. Corporations can have consciences, when the people that run them start to be run by their own.
