Another tale of Funeral Homes

In our town we have one funeral home and one Alternative Funeral Service which has a office in the mall where I am and they offer viewings in churches, halls etc in town.

THe Funeral home, I was dealing with since the begining of my shop 13 years ago. No kick back but at Christmas I make sure they have home made goodies.

Today the other alternative srevice came ot me and said that my business will grow by a lot. He said he would be dealing with me form now on and that he was not happy with the other only florist in town.
That is the one that changed hands 5 times since I started 13 years ago.
Since Aug when she took over I already seen some changes, but looks like I may see a lot more.

It didnt help her not to have a credit card company for almost 3 weeks. Which meant she could not process Debit, credit cards for any orders so she could not accept orders which in turn they used my service. That would explain my increase of almost 25% in sales in aug. We had many funeral that month and very high numbers in sales for funeral work.

Now in Oct. when I checked my sales vs last year. I was up but it sure didnt look it with how busy we were. Very odd.

Nov is started slow and if I am slow I am sure she is slower in her sales.

So anyone that wants to start a business in the floral industry remember a few things....Location location location and You need money to bring you through the lean times....You might as well invest your money into an established shop like mine. Any offer is considered.
