We have been using Rainbow foam for a couple of weeks and really like it. We have been making flower sundaes in old fashioned sundae glasses and using the rainbow foam as a bottom. I have one Sundae on my counter that is almost 2 weeks old and the flowers are still looking great.

We decided to use it for a customer arrangement in a cylinder vase and she called today, two days after her delivery to say that a couple of the daisies were drooping and that one rose didn't look good.

Now, I know there could be many a factors here: she isnt' keeping the foam wet, the product could have been the issue, the foam maybe works better in shorter vases?

All of the above issues we try to avoid when taking the best care of our flowers...but she still had a small issue so we replaced the 2 stems of daisy and 1 rose to make things right for her.

So I was just wondering if anyone uses Rainbow foam a lot in arrangements and any tips/tricks/views on it?

thanks!

First time I used it I got a complaint about the daisies not lasting..because of the density I didn't dare use delicate water loving flowers and thank God...They would have been goners within minutes if daisies and carns had problems within a day...

My only problem with it is the fact that it's so very dense. It is NOT instant foam, so I soak it for at least fifteen minutes. I would have replaced the whole thing and then taken the old one and cut into the foam. It may look wet on the outside but there could be dry spots inside.

Also, because it's so dense, you can damage fragile stems upon insertion.

I usually cut it up and use it in chunks, looks like fruit salad.
