When attaching lemon leaf to the outside of a container what have you found works without discoloring the leaf? We tried hot glue, oasis glue, and super glue. All 3 disclored where the glue was applied. Thanks for your help in advance.

Try Tack 2000, it's an aresol spray. Works great. For lighter stuff you can use Tack 1000. I believe I got it from John Henry.

Thank you .........

that is a question I have wondered about too but just didn't think to ask. Is it better to spray the holder, the leaf or both to make sure they stay on?

This is why I have to check in with flowerchat at least twice a day.

Tack 2000 is a good choice. Spray a light coating on both the container and the backs of the leaves. Make sure to do it outside (read the can about ventilation) and lay out plastic sheeting to catch the overspray.

We do like Oasis Adhesive and have had success using it without showing the 'burning.' The leaves need to be mature because the tenderness of newer growth will burn every time. Spread a very light coating of adhesive on both the container and the leaf backs and allow the glue to set up. Once is turns whitish, press the leaf to the container surface.

Tack2000 is a great choice if you have the time. If you don't spray enough, the leaf and container, or allow to set up, you'll have problems getting it to stick. Works great if you've got the time or if the form you are covering has lots of curve/shape.
For quicker projects, hot glue applied to lower part of leaf and over lapping another leaf to hide the burnt part also works.
If you are covering oasis, a greening pin works great. Overlap leaves the same way, covering the pin.

After covering, foliage sealer adds a nice finished look but isn't necessary.

This was done with tack2000 and sealer.

would??....

two sided tape be of any benefit to this design requirement??
Especially the stuff they use to fasten foam backed carpeting is pretty darned tacky, and would present NO "burning" issues......

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. In this case the double sided tape probably would work the best, I feel silly for not having thought of that one. I'm definitely going to try the tack stuff also.

You guys are the best.
