So we have this really cool new product that came in... that we can't figure out what to do with it. Anyone using the new Angel Grass product that has become so popular? What do you DO with it?

Who makes it, never hear of it..Is it like the fine sisal oasis makes or angel wire, which is like a nest of fine, fine wire??
If so it can be made into balls and tcked into focal points, it can be finely streched out over arrangements and make a fine mesh of color, it can be wrapped through bokays to add a touch of color and bit of whimsy...it is neet stuff!

Here's a picture of it in a vase.
No...its not an Oasis product. Its this metallic tinsel like material, which has sequins and rings sprinkled thru it. Our vendor told us it was selling like crazy, so we bought it. Our customers are buying it because it is new and cool. But it would be really nice if we could tell them what to do with it!
We called the vendor and they told us that people are putting it in vases and using it on tables for display and for events. So we are going to go with that. I just thought it would be nice to know what "real" florists are doing with it.
Oh, and don't search for "Angel Grass" on the internet - got a bunch of drug and UFO information when I tried that!

I would if I could... if only I had a product research expense file I could have SOOOO much fun. The fitz stuff alone could be the best research project ever!

I have the Fitz Micro Wire in silver- I bought a pack of silver and it's pretty fun (a little messy) I've spread the threads lightly over wedding bouquets and bouts- looks really cool- a little finer than bullion wire and comes in strands.
Yes, we sell that too, although it is being discontinued, they didn't put it in the spring prebook because they have a new product called Astro Wire which is a little thicker. I think the Micro Wire is nice when woven thru decowire.
This Angel grass stuff is different, its not wired at all. And it is thicker than any of those products. We put it in a vase... It looks like the hair on a Muppett.
Its been the office joke of the day. Our photographer is about to pull HER hair out trying to photograph it!

Those attachments won't open for me. Doesn't matter, I just called and ordered all of the colors - looks like it could be fun. IMO, your green one has way too much of the stuff in the vase. If you use just a few strands in water, you will probably get a much better picture.

Thank you Linda for the order and the tip! We haven't tried it with ust a few strands in water... Will have to try that next. My other pictures are still dense with the stuff. I don't know what is up with the attachments... they worked for me?
