I opened my retail flower shop in July 1998, but started in the industry in 1980 for European Flower Market after my formal training at Hennepin County Technical while still in high school. Living my dream! I have heard of the FlowerChat, but had not visited, simply because it required a browser download that I didn't have time for, but finally responded to an e-mail link.
I hope to connect with other florists around the world, but specifically in the United States for networking, learning what is new, and more to the point, what is old! I like to keep ahead as much as I can on trends, and the only way to do that is to stay connected with people who know.

Well! I didn't have any idea this was a formal thing that I would be either voted in or out. I guess I thought that, as in most forums, once I could prove that I am a brick and mortar business, that would be it. I feel so naked!
Anyway, please forgive me if I don't do everything that I'm supposed to do, I don't have a lot of experience with forums, but would like to! This is the sort of tool that all of us need, especially in trying times such as these.
