This is an Arbor I did last summer.

I am curious what others would charge for this arbor. Without knowing the exact flowers count, just give me a ballpark based on this visual. Primary flowers were roses, Asiatic lilies, hot pink hydrangea and some snaps - nothing fancy.

If I recall, I attached 10 - 14 cages to the front facade only.

I am doing this arbor again this summer and want to make my price is on target.

Thanks for your help.

Really very pretty. Can't wait to hear a price.

$1000-$1500 in florals - the arbor rental add'l.

What? ... are you telling me that you can't make 14 - $25 mini bouquets and strap them on a arch, then finish of with some loose flowers and greens to tie it all together??? just looking at the flowers - a few roses and some lilies.

time to make. maybe 59 minutes?

Wow...looks like more than mini bouquets to me..besides all the additional greens, and the fact that it does not look to be flat sided.
It is absolutely gorgeous...and I would agree at least $1500

no way jose. :)I couldn't make 14 PRESENTABLE hand tied bouquets, fat & full like the pic - in 59 minutes. Those are easily 12" diameter 'bouquets'. I don't even think I'd like them as hand tieds .... not to duplicate that design anyway.

Let's do the math, shall we? ;) Arbor - 7'high, 6'wide. Assuming each bqt is 12" wide = 20 bouquets minimum, plus all the stuffing to make it as symmetrical as it looks now, designed in cages...

that is what you meant by "mini boquet", right :thumbsup

Yeah, these are not "mini bouquets" The cost of the cages alone require some thought in our area.
I agree $1200-$1500 or more...I've done similar for $3000. Hard to tell from the photos (which, by the way are beautiful)...
Not sure what you charged, but given the responses here, I can't help but think that you under charged considering the amazing results.

Looks like 7 roses, one hydrangea, one snapdragon, two lilies (not stems) salal, LL, and a cage. I figure about $5-7 in Cogs per bouquet. $7 times 14 is $98.

the cost of cages might preclude me from using that. I figure you could use a third of a block of Oasis, insert the oasis in a polybag then tie it off on the arbor.

People, I knew most of you would quote high prices so I intentionally low balled the price to get you to think. Cathy posted a thread about value pricing and I am just using a bit of the information from that thread to make a point here. If Randy was still around I bet his price would have been comparable to what I stated - no actually he probably would have done it for less.

Instead of looking at the final retail price, you should be looking at what it costs to make and then set a retail price.

think about it. Most consumers do not want to spend $2000 on flowers that will be a back drop for a 20 minute (wedding) ceremony. There is minimal perceived value and impact.

again just think about what i said.

Firstly Katie, that is beautiful, i am sure any bride would be thrilled with it, i know i would.

I agree with Joe, i may be slightly more expensive at around £250 as i do think that the flower content would be more than first anticpated. I would probably use really cheap flowers as the colour would give the impact which i think is required.

People do not want to pay in the thousands for this type of project unless you are targeting the really high end bride. In this instance i would rather do more of the £250 designs than one a year in the thousands.

I think it would take two girls about an hour to an hour and a half to do. Flower content i have really guestimated.

My advice would be to really work out exactly the flower content at cost, times it by 2.5 then add on a percentage for make up.

Joe, you have phenomenal buying ability and I respect that. It would cost me almost $14 to buy the flowers you suggested above. My hot pink hydrangeas alone run about $4-5.

You are right though...most consumers do not want to spend a ton of money on an arbor but fortunately this bride did. I do provide lesser expensive solutions for brides that want an arbor though.

I did think about putting an oasis brick in a poly bag but opted for cages. Did not want to take a chance of the brick falling apart with the number of stem insertions.

And Robin you are right, it took one girl 3 hours to assemble.
