I'm not sure. I prefer iron but the bride doesn't care. Bride just wants a dramatic look. I've never done an arrgt. on a flower stand. I have to do 2 of them for the church ceremony.

Depending on the size, Wal-Mart used to have some nice resin "pillars" with some ornate carvings at the top of the pedestal and they came in various sizes. Great to reuse in the shop for display. Also have you checked with McCann Baskets?? They have some nice iron stands. Contact Rob Handler
