Jeff Corbin was our commentator this past weekend and he brought some samples of Arrive Alive! hydrating pads and bags for us. I have seen these before on some of the flowers we receive from wholesalers. Anyone use them in their shop? Great idea, Green (biodegradable), 2 seconds prep and then saturate and out the door.
His suggestion was for anything that would be out of water for an hour, but I also wondered about handtieds (weddings?)

Peggy, I think he said they would stay hydrating for 24 hours - guess I'll have to try them...

I used these for a couple weddings this summer, when the ceremonies were outdoors and temps near 100. I personally found them a bit cumbersome, with the foam and bag technique. However, the flowers all survived the day looking good.

I've also used pieces of the foam in a hand-tied for a short stem on hydrangeas... but honestly I think water picks are a better choice in this situation.

The jury is still out in my mind... still not sure I'm happy with the $100 purchase (minimum quantity).

we got them 3 years ago when they were shown after Amy attended SAF.

WE HATED them.
The water runs out, and they give people a false sense of security.
We never bought them again. I would reccomend them to anyone. JMO
