I do not know this florist, but her blog has got to be one of the very best out there by a local florist: Sprout of Worcester MA

She posted a series of photos from the Boston Museum's 2009 Art in Bloom and if you're looking for pleasant inspiration or just a quick diversion to get in the holiday groove, visit her blog.

Here's a taste:

Happy viewing - and leave her a message if you like the post. :)

Those Art in Bloom events are so cool, we have one here as well. I have not participated (yet).

Thanks for the link!

That looks a lot like something that Mary Linda-Horn does quite frequently.

Well done Sprout, you fill this world with floral art and now my heart is full.

Gunna go tweet it, enjoy the unique hits. :)

I *think* the hits from this post lead Sprout to find FC. :)

Daz, if you love that post, you gotta read Sprouts posts about throwing seed bombs into some blighted areas of her city. Guerrilla Gardening at its best. I can see an Ashland version now. (OTOH, I would probably get arrested in OC since the drought is more likely to create kindling than flowers.)

Definitely some out-of-the-box and way-over-the-top-of-the-box stuff.

Sprout, like I said in a previous post - great stuff! Do you read Julie Ardery's Human Flower Project? She's another 'thinking woman's flower lover' with one of the best blogs around.

We had a Little League pitcher on one team who was really able to hurl them!

My favorite line. :)

Yes! The hits from this are exactly what lead me to Flower Chat! How did you guys manage to slip by me? I follow Flowers & Cents from time to time, but this is what I was looking for - so thank you Cathy for noticing me and bringing me into the FC fold. :D

Seed bombs were awesome on so many levels! First, just the whole Guerrilla Gardening concept is amazing and I hope to leverage it to accomplish one of my goals (...to make my city a a better place, even in a tiny way, for there having been a Sprout...). It was a great marketing/PR tool that has good legs. And it was was so much FUN! I like my shop being associated with fun. (Hey, if the local garden club would let me join, I wouldn't have to make my own fun - but you have to be vetted and voted in and have the right pedigree...)

And yes, I do read Human Flower Project - folks after my own heart!
