prayers and well wishes in these next couple of days. The hubby leaves tomorrow for his drive back to CA. He has to report by Monday, some unexpected things came up and so it stalled him leaving yesterday. I'm worried about the long drive for him.

His absence is nothing new to me and our older daughter but the boys have not known that. They are really going to miss their partner in crime-video games, rough housing and monster chasing.

sigh........ :(

He's lucky to have such a caring wife Aileen. Your husband is a Master Sergeant in the Marine Corps so he's obviously a bad dude and you're still worried about him taking a long drive!

Ever since I bought life insurance my wife usually sends me off on long road trips by slipping a couple of Xanax in my breakfast cereal and packing a six pack "just in case you get thirsty".

It makes me wonder...

Aileen, I know your hubby is in the military and all...but where is he going and for how long? I wish him safeness and may all the love from home be with him, as well as you and your crew there too.

He is stationed in San Diego, Ca....we just moved back from there to save our house from ruin by renters. He has to report back by Monday, they gave him about 14 days leave to help me & the kids move back into the house. His next transfer isn't until May 2010. So he's driving back since we used both cars to bring all of our stuff that we would need until we can get our P.O.D. sent here. Right now the kids and I are living bare bones.

I am hoping that by summer time we can go out there to visit Dad for awhile.

Thanks so much everyone...it was really hard to see him say goodbye to the kids. It was hard to say goodbye myself. I have my sister and her husband here visiting so that helps.
