Average Delivery Charge

g'day guys,

I was just wondering what are the standard delivery charges and CHF's that you guy work on in Americe or Canada, either what you charge or what your wire service charges?

I just need to work out an average for both countries, because the system here in Australia is a bit different than your, well to the best of my knowledge it is :)

I would venture to guess that the average DC in the US and Canada is somewhere around $7.95 (US) when you factor in the fact that some of us do not charge to Hospitals and funeral homes...

For me, our normal in-town is $5.00 but that ranges up to 23.50 depending on mileage going out...
 
We start at $4.00 cdn and range up to $20.00 depending on how far we have to go. If we have to courier it its $15.00
 
Hi...We range from 7.00 in the city to 15.00 to the outer limits.

Delivery charges range $7.95 CDN to $16.95
We also offer courier services at Sameday, 3hr, 2hr and ****IFORGOTTHEWIFE'SBIRTHDAY for $15, $23.95, $32.95 and $41.95.
 
Smaller town WE start at $4.00 to $15.00 to the towns with no florist but serviced by us.

We offer delivery in the Sault for $5 - however, there are a lot of addresses around the Sault that people think are in the Sault (Goulais, Heyden, Gros Cap, St. Joseph Island). Some of these places are a good 30 to 40 minutes away on Hwy 17 so mileage then becomes the issue. They can range from $15 to $50 depending.

We charge U.S. $6.99, $7.99, and $8.99 for local delivery. When we send an order to another florist, we collect $6.99 for delivery and give the filling florist the $6.99.

Keeps going like this up to $14.95.

Del. charges on my website are $8.95 local and $12.95 wired out.
The higher wired out price is to include a delivery charge for the filling florist and a wire charge for us. Too complicated to use all the different delivery charges on a website.
 
Don't forget that the above answers include both US dollars and Canadian Loonies....er, dollars. :)

West coast metro here - delivery ranges from $6.00 - $25.00 with the average being approx. $8.00.

I like the idea of paying delivery at 100% and separating it from the discounted arrangement. I also like the idea of a flat wire fee per order, instead of a percentage.
