Hey all

Ok, that big fundraiser event just came back to me with a bit of an odd request:

I was thinking about your suggestion for presentation flowers to give to the award winners. We present the award winners a framed certificate each year. Last year they presented them in little decorated baskets which looked pretty cool. What do you think about the idea of combining some sort of small floral arrangement in a basket with the certificate?

Has anyone done anything like this? Maybe it's just totally not my thing, but any way I picture this in my head looks a little cheap and hokey. Any thoughts, pictures, suggestions?

Trying to wrap my little mind around that request.
Having a hard time picturing a framed certificate in " a little decorated basket".
It seems to me that a framed certificate would be at least 8 1/2 x 11 and would be awkward in a " little decorated basket ".

I would sway them in the direction of a presentation bouquet as well as the certificate.
Good luck!

Ya, that's what I was thinking too, but remembered the "design for your customer, not yourself!" advice here earlier, and figured I'd check in on it. Anything I'm picturing looks sorta.. funeralish.

I'd much prefer a nice lush presentation bouquet and a separate certificate.

what about doing an amazing and wild fresh flower "frame" that the certificate would come in?
easy to handle and can be quite interesting too????
let us know how it all pans out!
yay spring!

Oasis has those floral foam frames for pictures for memorial services that could frame these certificates..pricey but really cool looking

Or how about a gorgeous presentation display with the certficate rolled like a diploma and incorporated into the bow??

Certificate framed

You can also take the framed certificate and attach a small fresh arrangement onto the corner of it.

we sometimes make floral arrangements with a frame within it, but its not really small.
we fill a tray with oasis, fix the frame into the oasis (you can use pin holders, sticks to support etc) and make an arrangment around it. but it works out a medium sized arrangement.
good luck
