My husband is a truck driver, independent. His truck broke down last week we had almost $5,000 of work done, then he gets back on the road, the air conditioning is acting up, he cracks his windows a little, someone sticks thier hand thru and steals his pants with his wallet, drivers license, credit cards, fuel cards, ss card, EVERYTHING! He just called the police, we are trying to cancel everything right now, but I don't even know how to get him any help, I called western union, but without his id, he can't get any money, UGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!
 
Oh, Jean! So sorry to hear. Hopefully he gets everything settled and back on the road quickly! Thinking of you guys!!

Just let out a bunch of not so nice phrases on your behalf. Re: the license, in NJ the police will you an affadavit for ID purposes maybe they do in TX. Also, I believe you can have a couple of Q & A's at western union, to help secure ID of receiver. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. That really sucks. So sorry to hear that.
 
As if the independant truckers were not having enough problems right now! I wish I had some wise words for you, but I'm praying for both of you.
 
IIRC word lady is correct...You do not need an ID if you make arrangements for some identifying password type things. I used to wrok in a shop that did WU and we had people in all the time that ahad to give a password to get the money because they had no id...That was 20 years ago though...

Thanks for the encouraging words, he is just driving home to get everything straight with the DMV tomorrow and the Bank, they have already tried to buy online yesterday, right after the report, so the cc fraud dept. have addresses that merchandise was sent to etc, and CSI came out and got fingerprints off truck, so hopefully it will lead to something, I just am so disgusted about the whole thing, it seems like the last few weeks he has had a cloud of doom and gloom overhead, and there is a hole in the umbrella!!!!

Tell him to find the nearest RealFlorist...

Have him tell them about FlowerChat and direct them to contact us through the site...I'm sure a few of us would kick in a few bucks to get him home... (florist could do it on our cc's)...

Thanks for that idea, he has enough diesel to get home, and a few of his fellow truckers bought him dinner last night, their community is like ours, A FAMILY! Thanks!
 
Well maybe all the bad has passed. Let's hope it's smooth sailing from here on out!
I know it's hard but things can only get better!

You know, its funny how the mind works, he called me really early yesterday morning, and said "Someone stole my pants" and I, not thinking said "Your nude???" What happened was his pants he had been wearing with his wallet were on the front seat, he always puts them there and wears his jogging pants to sleep in, so yes, he has plenty of pants, but it was funny, he said when he realized they were missing, he was thinking OK, I had them on in the truck stop, and then said he realized how stupid that was, like he suddenly didn't have on pants, it's funny how your mind processes when you are freaking out!
But, he did get his keys back and his pants, the thief was nice enough to throw them under a trailer a few trucks over, anyway, and hopefully they are on video with a clothes hanger fishing them out, but they are trying to get the tape together, but we dont know if you can see the truck yet, they have tried to use the credit card twice, with no luck, so BOA is able to track them now, so hopefully they will get caught, still beyond a pain, to say the least....
 
Throw the book at them!!!! NO MERCY!!!!!
I hate stuff like that!

We all work so hard! and then to have some creep steel from us! Drives me crazy!!

the more I think about your situation the more mad I get! Good luck honey, I hope you get the jerk!!
