We lost another.....

long time florist Barb Fendley of Fendley Florist in Brampton Ontario passed away Friday. the wake is Sunday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 at Wards Funeral Home Main St. Brampton and Funeral is Monday at 11am.

Barb was not a member of this board but many of us know and have met Barb at the several of the annual dinner get to-gethers we have had in Toronto over the past years.

Our Sympathies go out to Barb's family.

I knew Barb, but didn't know she was in poor health. Any details you can share, BBJ?

Barb was a fixture at industry events for as long as this young pup can remember.

I'm so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. Thanks for the information John.

I don't have too many details, but do know she has been under doctors care since around Valentines, also was told that it was Cancer.......but that's all I know.

Yes Barb has been a regular at many floral functions and as far as I know was heavely involved with the Niagara International for many years.

the bubbly, confident, and rambuncious owner of Fendley's Flowers in Brampton,Ontario Canada has passed away without our knowing about her cancer battle which we were told was in remission.
I just spoke to Barb, not long ago.....she never said a word!!
I'm really going to miss her......
Barb is the one in the light blue shirt, standing next to Victoria!!

A note from Frank Stornelli of FTD:

Just a quick update for flowerchat members:
Went to the service today with Angelo Pace.
It was a really nice service. It was well attended as Barb had touched many people.
She was a member of many organizations. (too many to mention).
The common theme was that Barb was always smiling and always willing to help out.
She was very optimistic about things regardless of the obstacles that she encountered.
Dr. Kathleen Armitage spoke of Barb for about 20 minutes and I was riveted to what she had to say.
Barb was an incredible individual with a very humble way of showing it.
The service was conducted at Grace United Church in Brampton and the church was close to capacity. The service was attended by many people from the community including her entire staff and the mayor of Brampton.
Barb will be missed.

I feel like such an ARSE!!...

for not knowing, and going.....
Barb was my friend, and I was already in the Etobicoke area on Sunday!!
