I have an event (dancing and booze) in which I'm using (12) 2" x 2" glass votive cubes to surround each flower centerpiece. Everyone (300 guests) will be "sloppy" at this event because they will have been partying at a prior event.:alcoholic
In your opinion, do you think votive candles are safe? I'm suddenly envisioning a drunk leaning over the table and catching their clothes or long hair on fire. I'm considering the flickering battery tea lights but it just doesn't give off the same ambience. I'm more troubled by the fire hazard than the large orchid centerpieces I posted last week. Go figure...

how much money do you have for it???

cause you could use alycolites with clear flat glass marbles then fill up with water
it would look pretty but pricey.

Where is the event being held? Most of the event sites here no longer allow real candles, only battery. You can get the battery operated in larger sizes too but it can get expensive. If the site allows real candles and isn't concerned about any hazzards, I'd use real candles.

Shannon, the "wedding designer" wants the flame look and this is why I'm having trouble with the battery-operated. Even the battery operated adds up when using them in bulk.

The event is being held on private property in a tent - the property of the party givers.

I hate to say this but one of my customers just bought 8 packs of those things at a Dollar Tree,,and only a buck, even those crafty places have them cheap...

you know what,

They are adults. If they get drunk and start their hair on fire that's their problem.
Have them sign a waiver stating that you are not responsible for any of their stupid behavior. if it makes you feel better...

Just put it in better words than that!!
