I will be the florist for the local BBB banquet. This will be a 10 year anniversary breakfast This will be my chance to let the business community know about my business. Should I build the theme around Sweet Peas or BBB ten year anniversary. They are paying for the flowers I am donating the labor. Probably 10-12 tables in the historic Hotel Colorado. I am going thru a slump at the moment, need some inspiring ideas for the center pieces for these tables.
Thanks in advance....

Is this decision being left up to you or do you have set parameters to go by???

Is this decision being left up to you or do you have set parameters to go by??? It will be left to me, that is why I am asking for ideas.
If it were already determined that would be pretty easy.

Well sometimes there are some parameters given but alot left up to you. I say if it is all left up to you make it all about you. Let your style shine.

We are doing 30 centerpieces for a charity this weekend, last year's centerpieces were a disappointment to them, so we are trying to make these outstanding for not much money. We decided to go with tropicals, we have a good source from Hawaii, they will be distinctive, stylish and classy. Hope we can pull this off, we also have 2 weddings, a bridal shower and another function, with only 2 trained designers and one helper. There are lots of ideas for centerpieces on the internet, like they said, make your personal style shine.

I would make it a combo of something to tie in with both ideas - using your signature style, or favorite style and design them in a container that is significant to the anniversary. Tin is the traditional gift, though I don't know if anyone really knows that. A variety of tin containers ... maybe each named after a particular year, with tidbits about the BBB's activities for that year printed up on cardstock?

Personally, if it was our shop, I would design a variety of pieces, so that each table was a little different. Even if you worked with the same flowers, or same colors. This is my personal favorite, as a florist - to see something a little different on each table, with color being the unifying factor. I talk my brides into it all the time!

Pick a signature color, and have fun!

HTH,
tracy
