I do have formal floral education.
Another Florist told me about your web site
I would like to hear from other Florist, opions, projections, business tips, design tips, etc...I have served on wire service boards as a local Florist, I work hands on daily in a busy Floral Shop, I believe in continuing education. I try to keep abreast of the changing market related to the Floral Industry.

Actually, another Florist in South Carolina by the name of Powdersville Wren Florist in Piedmont, SC told my about Flowerchat.com over a year ago. Today, we were asked to design a custom piece to look like a pet owners dog. We often design custom pieces, the latest was a log truck, but we needed an idea for the dog and I found it online. There was a link there to flowerchat.com. I decided now was the time to sign up. I need to study up on all the lingo and operations of the site. I'll work on that.

Actually, I used BBB, because when I was a very young child, my older brother
called me BOO BOO BABY.(HA, HA, HA), when I was applying to the site, it seemed everything else was taken, so BBB was short for BOO BOO BABY (I was sure that name wasn't taken, (everyone would be too embarrassed to use it). It never occured to me that it would make everyone think about the Better Business Bureau.
I may have to change my user name, what do you think? However, I am sure my brother would get a charge out of this..

I too thought the same... and was readying my gun's for a shoot out ;)

Welcome to the community... should you decide, I can handle the name change for you.... let me know. As to changing names, we prefer to do it sooner than later, as we don't want folks to get confused...
 
That would probably be a good idea.
This too will probably give everyone a laugh.
My first name is actually a flower name. Yes I was given this name at birth.
How ironic is it that I am a Florist.
Lets change my name to "Violet" for my user name.

Violet is my real name.

I can't speak for everyone on here, but I would be fine if you left your name the way it is. I like your story about your brother, very cute.

It was just a shocker to see your name at first. And yes, the first thing that comes to mind is the dreaded biz bureau.
