Best customer compliments

So today I got the best customer compliment, I just about keeled over.

We were talking about how to dress up a poinsettia for his wife, and he says, "I trust you to do something, Linda. I could hand you piles of poop from a goat, a horse, and a dog, and you would create something that people would order two of!"

Isn't that nice???????

And yet, the creative little devil in me started thinking......

Anybody else had interesting compliments? Would love to hear them!

I occasionaly get a strange compliment (I think it's a compliment) - "Isn't it nice to see a man in a flower shop?"

Um, er is it? Personaly I see it every day :dunno:

I'd like to suggest that perhaps they need to get out more...

But, yes, it is great to get compliments on your design skills. It's always good to know your efforts are paying off, at least in some small way.

I had a good one yesterday.
A husband and wife were in the shop, picking a sympathy plant for their aunt. When they were about to leave, the husband said to the wife,
"I can see why you like it in here so much. It has a great feel in here".
I've been getting that a lot recently, how nice it "feels" in my shop.

Thank you so much for the absolutely gorgeous funeral arrangement. Jesse told me that you came back from Yom Kippur service to work on it. It is so appreciated. You put your heart into everything that you do and it shows.

And, my all time favorite was a young man who came in this summer and told me that he loves to send flowers, but, before he found me, he was never happy in what he paid for and sent. He loves what and how I do flowers......

Good customer told me the other day - That she sees some nice things out of other shops.. but she uses us because...

"Your designs are beautiful - but then - you always put the cherry on top"

I must have had a puzzled look on my face - because she added "you know... You add that extra touch... like a cherry on an ice cream sundae."

The one I got today wasn't so much as a compliment...well maybe but here goes:

A customer of ours opened up a new account recently for a local Not-for-profit community organization.
She did the ordering from another shop because her boss had always been a customer there. (Wouldn't say which shop and I wasn't gutsy enough to ask)

After the boss had some dissatisfaction with the other shop, this customer told her to try us. Her boss came into our store for the first time, saw our stuff and gave her the green light to order from us EVERY time!

Apparently, even though the boss didn't buy anything at the time, we all chatted her up real nice and were as sweet as pie, as usual :squish:.
She was impressed and I've got a big fat new corporate account to call my very own!

Congrats! Now that is how it's done, you just never know who is lurking around in your shop, gotta treat them all with your best. You go girl!

At my open house on Saturday, a mother of two little girls maybe 5 and 7 was telling me that the girls absolutely had to come to my shop because it is the prettiest place and smells so nice....

I was told I am very professional and talented by another customer this week also...

I love compliments, it gives me some idea that I have fans and that I am doing all of this for good reason, even if it is totally self absorbed...
