Well, after neglecting my yard/garden (no time/energy for gardening when I owned a flower shop) for far too long, I now have A LOT of work to do.

I need advice on how to kill lilac suckers that have sprouted up on the lawn. There are a ton of them!

I'd appreciate any/all suggestions. Thanks!

Well, I don't know exactly how they get there but I think it's from seeds after the parent tree flowers. If they're not removed - which I neglected to do last year - they sprout up wherever they fall. I'm having similar issues with my wisteria trees. The pods dried out, snapped and now I have wisteria vines growing in places I didn't want 'em!!

Personally, I'd pull them up, get them rooted and sell them (but that's just me and I own the original dark purple lilac trees ever planted in my town with the oldest tree still living)
