I told my wonderful web designer that I suck as a designer and am in an uninspired slump. She suggested this site.

www.pantone.com

All I can say is wow, double wow, and WOW again!!
This is where I'm spending my time the next few weeks!

We have the roll over to zoom feature on our site(s), but you need to have large images, of which we don't have of the products, so it renders it useless. Still cool. www.gulfportflowershop.com I like the spinning thing of the featured products more.

Our sites are works in progress, but I think my wife (who has done it all on her own) has done a wonderful job with it. Best part is, total for all of our sites (I think we have 7 total) is $15 per month.

Amazingly delicious site. Could get lost in it for days. Thanks!

Interesting choice for Color of the Year 2010.

Definitely a flower challenge. We 'go with' it well, but there are so very few blooms in that color naturally.

I bet the died blue Thai orchids will look great with that color.
I'm having good response with walk in with the dried product. I've been keeping the blue died vendella roses in stock. I kind of like them.

My web designer tells me that I should play with colors more. Like I noticed last year at Valentine's Day guys really liked the red/yellow combo. I'm going to read some of the profiles of the young folk on the Pantone site and find out what excites them!

We had a wedding with this color, in '08. Bride and her sisters are lovely gals and great fashion forecasters. She selected table clothes a bit lighter than this color and green ones too, looked great together, subtle, yet harmonious.

To incorporate this color, and keep costs down, we used DM on spider mums along with pink flowers. Looked terrible by themselves, but against the girls dresses, smashing. The guys wore tan colored tuxes with the turquoise tie's.

I call it "Sand and Sea".

Not seeing any of this color yet for next year, are you?

God I hate that color. I chuck a bit when brides bring it. Not only is it a terrible color, it makes women look sickly. I don't mind it as small accent colors, but to use it as a main color in a social event? The only color I would use is monochromatic white.

I don't really give Pantone 2 cents for anything floral, however I do use it when speaking to printers and graphic designers. It's pretty universal across the design spectrum.

I feel like I just got done doing a bunch of weddings in that color, but it was probably a year ago at least. I thought someone on here posted a pic of a bouquet they did and they did a really good job of incorporating that color. I happen to like turquoise, if done right, but I'm also a green person too.
