just had an excited young lady in..just left after firming up her wedding day in June....gave birth to her FIRST child 7 weeks ago, a boy, and named him after our shop..."Holden"....
Long story short, she started coming to our shop, when she was about 4......sometimes on her own, sometimes with her dad, but EVERY TIME, asked to buy her mom a flower, and would "offer" a quarter...and I'd say, each time since, "how about you save it for a special day, here's your flower, see you again".....that was 25 years ago....today, she brought in ALL her flower "savings" and paid for her wedding, cash, in rolled up quarters..I've NEVER had tears in BOTH eyes.....:)

That's a great human interest story for you local newspaper. It's the perfect example of what goes around comes around. People need to hear these things about small business so they understand why it's so imporatnt to shop local. Thanks for sharing!

I so agree.......Mikey......the two of you together, interviewed the day of her wedding? Or rehearsal night?.. What a story... Congrats, you're one of the finest.

If there ever was a floral story that needed to be publicized, this is it. Everyone would love to hear this and it should make national news.
