Just came back from my first ever Bike Week in Daytona Beach. Basicly the entire town goes "biker" for 9 days. Thousands and thousands of bikes as far as the eye can see!
We had so much fun! I ride with bunch of grey haired mostly retired folks who are sober and in bed by 10 on a late night- so this was wild and crazy! There was a fantastic run out into the country that was just beautiful, then we did a trip to the lighthouse and a sugar mill from the 1700's. Half of us were camping and half in a hotel on the beach.
I must say I was very impressed at everyones "manners" which were very good over all. The funniest thing was one night we were on main street and stopped for a few minutes to listen to a band. First there were 3 police officers behind me - they moved on- and then not 10 seconds later, 2 young men walked up and dropped their pants and their friend took their picture. We all had a chuckle.The next day we were again on Main St and walked by the spot- Looking up we saw the place was called "The Full MOon Saloon"! Full Moon indeed!!
Seems like a great post V-day treat for some of my Biker/florist friends! How about 2009?? A week in florida, Harley time and great friends??:scooter::scooter::scooter:
