Has anyone seen some sort of card holder that isn't plastic? We're so tired of the standard 'forks' and would love to find something new that could hold a card and envelope - bamboo? twig? attractive wire? There HAS to be something out there! Thanks for any suggestions..

Seems to me, a Hyacinth stake with a knife slit in one end would work. Probably not as cost effective...

We collect boxes of them from the local funeral homes for "recycling"....

At April's we were pretty green.
We tried everything under the sun. The thing that we thought would work great was equisetum and slit at the top. But we found slitting it through the nodes worked better. BUT we also found out that it would make the card/envelope green. good luck

We use a brown craft envelope to put the card in with flower food and a business card. I have just ordered some chocolates to put them in as well. We then just tape it to the flower container. :)

I finnaly reworked our entire corporate image and, as a result. so many things have changed.
We never did use the three prong plasic fork to hold our cards, but now, I intend to use any old stick or branch from the garbage for that, and so many other uses.
One of them is to hold cards.
If you take your generic left-over stem or branch from the garbage, and slice an X into it, about 3/4 inch deep, you will be able to slip a card into the slots created, no problem.
Seems like a good cost effective way to send various cards on picks, while reducing some of the waste we must send on to the green bin recycling. And re-inforce our "green" image at the same time.

All good ideas .. thanks. In some sort of catalogue the other day, I saw a placecard holder that was a very thin bamboo skewer. They had somehow split the top, flattened it out and 'curled' it. Held a placecard nicely, but was only about 3" long and didn't look like it would hold our 3 x 5 envelopes and cards. So we'll all keep looking for something quick, easy and cheap...
