Just did my first ffk birthday party this afternoon. I think I may have tapped into a whole new market and got paid to boot!!! The all girl "tea party" was from 1:30 to 3:30. FFK was the wrap up to the party starting at 2:45. There was a total of 11 girls. Made the birthday girl my assistant and had her put on a special apon. Started my speal about flowers and how to properly take care of them when I looked up from the girls to notice that every single adult that was in the kitchen chatting was now in standing in the dinning room watching me. You could hear a pin drop. I made a comment about my "new" audience members when one of the moms said she was actually learning something!

After the girls made their bouquets, every single mom came up to me to ask for a card and thought that this was the best idea for a kids' b-day party.

I Believe I've just found my newest project to pursue! There is a kid friendly ad book that comes out monthly with a section dedicated just to kid party entertainment. May look into placing one ad (if reasonable) and see what kind of response I get or promote through ffk events and word of mouth but I definately see this as a way to generate a little more $$$ to the business.

If you plan to do birthday parties (and of course charge for it!) Flowers For Kids can also arrange to send up a box from a farm that contains everything you need for your presentation: 200 flowers (40 Fillers, 40 Lines, 80 Focals, 40 Greens), 40 each of handouts, sleeves, flower food, and stickers.
Stacey and Erlene have the FFK Training Kits that include the script, banner, and signs. More importantly, either one can train you over the phone.

Future flower buyers

Great to see the future generations of flower buyers intensley interested at a tender age. Seems like a win win situation requiring a minimal amount of time. What a pr opportunity with a minimal investment!!!!!!! Nice job.

Great idea! I'll have to look into this as possible market for my vases, thanks for sharing. Do you have pictures?

I will pass that info along! This months CFA magazine's lead article was about flowers and kaids, and Flowers For Kids. I will send you a copy if you don't already get one.
I've already received a couple calls about our involvement with FFK in the New England division of DV.
