Okay, title says it all but loaded some pictures to start albums on my Millinocket Floral facebook page. I'm going to have to really bite the bullet and get photoshop so I can "brush" them up. I really don't have an ideal photo area thanks to lack of space and poor lighting overhead in the work room or delivery room.
Next ? - how hard is it to learn PhotoShop to tweak pics?
(after learning to use a tripod to take pictures that is) :hammer:

Rhonda - have you tried Picasa from google? Free download, and there are quite a few editing features in there. I don't know anything about Photoshop, but Picasa is a breeze - might be good practice before spending the $$ to get PS.

YOu can blur out a lot of background, lighten or darken photos, tweak coloring, the newest version has an "airbrush" thingy that lets you copy a piece of the photo & layer it over a bad spot ... try it!

:)

Thanks Tracy!! My computer "guru" placed picasa on an older computer but never did tell me what it was for! (can you tell I never utilized the program?)

oh you'll love it - have fun!

I SSSSSOOOOO agree with Tracy here! Picasa is FAR easier than Photoshop!!!! I have switched to Picasa for all my photos. I paid for photoshop and tried and tried to play with it, I just can't get it!!! I also use Printshop (I don't remember the version), It's pretty easy if you're making signs with photos for the store.

Thanks for the info Tracy. I downloaded it last night. However, I can't seem to get it to e-mail mode.

Do you mean you want to email a pic? First, their help feature is very good - index and a forum with questions you can search. At the bottom of the picasa frame, there are five or six buttons - upload, email, print export and more. Pick the photo you want to email, or if it's several, hit each one with the green thumbtack and it will save the image into your "tray". When you're ready to email, click the email button.

I belive you'll have to set up a gmail account, or use outlook. I don't know if it works with other email servers. When we started using picasa, it was to email brides pics - our TF email couldn't handle the large files, so we set up a gmail.

hope that helps

:)
