Does anyone know how I can block certain order gatherers. Specifically "justflowers.com" as they keep sending me orders and I don't want them. I could forward it, but don't I still pay the original fee to get the order? FTD said we do.

Thanks in advance for any helpful info.

Patty, try this... send an ASK for a price change of $50.00 more than you need... they'll cancel :)

Or if they give you the 50... then it's your call...

You could include in the message a REMOVE US FROM YOUR LIST message...

Boss, David just found out the other day even if they cancel you still get hit with the FTO fee. The only answer now is forwarding, and they'll probably close that one soon too.

Yes, but....

That is one of the way's to "kick the can" but the game is never over until the "can" is no longer fun to play with. Just my thoughts that's all...

I called FTD about this last week and had them explain the fee situation to me.

Here is how it is now.

Every order that a shop recieves over the Merc is charged the $1.00 FTO fee. You are charged that fee if you keep the order, if you reject the order, AND even if the other florist cancels the order. The only way not to be charged this is to forward the order to another florist.

NOW HERE IS WHAT TAKES THE CAKE...

All FTD.com orders come in and say something to the effect of: ORDER CANNOT BE FORWARDED IF CANNOT FILL PLEASE REJECT.

So if FTD.COM has to send something to 3 florists before getting one to take it then they just made $3 sending that order.

Another reason I no longer recomend dealing with Da Dot...as if Wacky Wally was not enuf!

I did not know that if they Can'd the dang thing...thanks

So with ftd.com you still pay the FTD and again for the reject?

simple equation

If the retail florist got 75% on incoming and also got exclusive gifts same day delivery would you listen ???? NO BS only serious conversation!!!!

big dollars

Now if you had the act in town providing same day delivery if "GIFTS" not flowers and the gift company provided advertising and marketing are you listening ???? Its a serious consideration and is coming soon listen !!!!

With .com as with 800 flowers, I usually send an ask message for more $$$$
they either cancel or fulfill to the price. Like that stupid birthday cake?
got one for 39.99........no way in heck....so I sent an ask for 59.99....they approved it. I'm the only FTD game in town so far ...can't wait until after the Spring Show here in a couple of weeks cause I know they'll be trolling the crappy other shops here (let em)

Just forward it to the farthest also serving florist.
I once had an employee of justflowers come to my store, and started talking about how he knew the business and how $65.00 for a dozen roses sounded too expensive, because he knew he should get 20% off right off the bat. I kicked him out of the store. The fact that I did not want his business pissed him off more than my smile as I told him to f**k off really got to him.
He did try to get even with me by calling in a phony credit card, but it didnt work.

Yes, you pay to receive the order and you pay to reject the order! Nice little scam, eh?? Another reason we got out!

I followed through with this as when I started rejecting almost all of the orders from FTD.COM I was irate at the thought of paying both fees let alone the one to receive the stupid order in the first place. FTD explained that although we do pay to reject normal orders from florists we DO NOT pay to reject an order from FTD.COM.

So I kept track of how many I rejected from FTD.COM and watched my statement like a good little girl and we DO NOT pay for the FTD.COM rejections just like they said.

Test it for yourselves, don't take my word for it.

Patty is right... there has not been a fee for rejecting ftd.com orders since they set this dumb fto up..

and most times you can forward an order back to the sending florist..unless it is a 'sending only florist' which has an automatic lock on it for receiving orders.. never did figure out how they got past the rules about having a certain level of floral/plant content and designer in a store.. but life has changed.. in this case just for the order to domestic retrans. I don't see any reason why I should pay to accept or reject any order i am not going to fill,

Yipee KiYAAAA...too funny... and just in time for Mothers Day....never thought of this one...

I have a question for all ...Isn't DR set up to be just what it says? Retrans? a point of transmission or a one way control center for overseas orders to the members electronic system?
You are saying that a reject of these orders back to the DR control center bounces back to you?

I'm just asking questions.
