Just became the director of the School of Floral Arts and Design located in NJ 973-656-0100

Interested in hearing other points of view and always looking for better quicker and more effective theories and practices.

Can you tell us a little about yourself before your merging or purchasing with School of Floral Arts & New Leaf Design? You listed Boonton Florist, but I didn't find a "Boonton Florist" listed as a business name. Just interested in your ties to the florist biz, or if you're brand new to the industry & how you came to be here.

Hi Guys . . .

The corporate name of my shop is Boonton Florist LLC, but I did business as Blooms on Main, located at 504 Main Street in Boonton, nj. I have been teaching floral design at the school that I am now the director of, and I was referred to the forum by the previous director a few years ago. I have been signed up for a while, but I never filled out a intro, hence was never able to see the entire sight.

I have been in the business full time for 8 years, and part time for over twenty. I have a bachelor of arts in communications with a minor in Graphic design, marketing and advertsising. I also have a degree in Biology with an emphasis on medical illustration.

I've attended The school of visual arts in NYC for various courses in design and art. I have also taken professional floral courses with many of todays premier floral designers.

I happened upon this career totally by accident, and came back to it totally by choice.
 
Welcome! Maybe I will pop in for a class sometime, but I hope you enjoy being a part of the rest of the forum. Let me know when your website is back up.
