The headline's intriguing:
The Floral Industry’s First Online Directory from BloomNet® Makes It Simple to Connect with the Right Florist, Right Away

I thought 'Wow - they're really going to help consumers find local flower shops". Wrong. It's their F2F directory now online.

"the Directory Online provides florists with the ability to see detailed information about the receiving florist, to allow them to choose the best qualified florist..."
As opposed to consumers - who aren't given this much-needed info....

I know there is a lot of debate about wire services (and I really hope this doesn't stir that up!) but if you are a florist who routinely sends orders through a wire service it seems to me (and I admit that I'm not a florist) that an online directory would be very helpful. This does actually seem like BloomNet is trying to serve their members better.

Plus, if this is the first step down a road that ends with the demise of paper directories that seems like a really good thing in a broader environmental context.

They are running a campaign right now to get their f2f sending up. They actually have been giving out finders fees to florist sending their florist friends to sign up. We get broadcasts about how much their f2f sending is growing.

And then Rosie said "MOM - your burning the toast!" and you woke up, right?

I would think that at some point we would all like to believe that someone is going to do the right thing Bloomz.
Sux that it just never works out that way.
I personally think that there's always something between the lines.
Some see it some don't !
Cathy, IMHO, sees it all !

Other than that ............................Hello !

I found it faster and easier to use than the previous method - and it does eliminate the need for the door stop of book they send every quarter. And if you don't like it you can revert to the old method. We do about 20 wire outs a month. You need to watch the F2F - there are no rules and folks can change prices on you after the order is filled - be careful.
