Now tell me exactly how Blossoms Network works? Now convinced this is for me, but am definitely thinking about it all in due time.

I want to know: I have an order that is a wire out. What is the first step?
I know there is no selection guide, so we decide on what they want to send and then what?
Do I access you through the computer? Do I pick a flower shop? Do I just send it and you pick a flower shop?

Sorry, but I truly am foreign to this.

It might be the way to go in my not so far off future. I
I am done with FTD now and the cost of being TF is making me rethink why Iam with them.

Thanks for your info in advance!

Hi LadyBiker/Patty:

Currently if you have a wire out, you simply fax us the order, the fax number is a 800 number, so it doesn't cost you anything to send us the order. We're in the process of getting our online Network system done, which would you would be able to access via the Internet. We have a state of the art fax system in place, which can handle 100's of fax's at the same time.

You earn your 20% commisson on said order. We are HARD at work at securing a selection guide (talking to the supplier this week, and waiting for their answer) So right at this moment, your customer/client or your firm decides what they would like to send for the customer/client along with price along with the normal details such as card message etc. If we do not have a member in a Town or City where you are going, WE Will pay any additional fee's that might be required to make sure that order is filled, if you have a Florist in that Town/City that you are fimilar with, and you let us know which shop that is, we will call that shop with the order. Normally unless you suggest a shop, we pick a quality shop to send the order to.

If you would like to call us, feel free to call us at 1-866-261-5428 and I would be happy to answer any additional questions you might have.

Email address is: [email protected]

I hope this helps answer any of your questions from the above post.

Peter

And you could fax the order directly from flowerSoft. All you have to do is set up Peter's company as a filling florist. Use "OTHER" as the wire service or enter "BLOSSOMS" and a new wire service.

We charge only our monthly fee of $25.00 and no extra fee's for sending, so the call for you to our fax system is Toll free. (no charges per transaction) Cheaper than the dove or Merc. We don't see the need to charge per transaction. We have the normal 5% clearing house fee, like the other 2 companies, but still 2% better than the others.

That's exactly right George, and in future we'll send you our data list George so shops can choose BN, along with TF,FTD etc.

Look out, Patty has left the building!

My day off is Thursday. I actually left the building today and went shopping and visited a good friend of mine. I usually just stay and work and catch up in the office on everything I can't get done on regular days. Man, was it nice to get out of this building and do normal things.

Well George, I am only on the S's now because of my day off and tomorrow I will be making corsages all day for prom.

So I guess I will be going into the middle of next week to get the names in and the codes set. I know there is no deadline, I am just making myself accountable a little so I don't procrastinate.

George, I can "fax" to Blossoms Network's "fax machine" from the "computer"? I have efax on my other computer and people can fax the regular way to me and I receive it on my computer, but I didn't know it worked vise versa, too???

Peter, thanks for the telephone conversation today! It was very enlightening and I am heading in that direction I know. Not sure when, but I know it will come in it's own time. Thanks again!

As long as you have a fax-modem and a telephone line connected to it, you can fax orders to other florists directly from flowerSoft. You can also fax copies of invoices to customers.

As I understand it you can fax your orders from Flowersoft directly to Blossoms Network's Fax system, that way you won't have to print it and fax it from efax etc, one step.

It was great talking with you earlier today also.

Statements Too?

I know I asked this but can Statements be sent Email to Corporate Accounts and Business Accounts who wish to be included in our Email DECON world?

Not only send the Invoice but send out the Statement automatic if those Account Files show a Charge for the Month that had the Invoice sent Email. The Email account would already be in the system so have it prompt you to ask if you would like to sent out the Statement via Email?.

Of course this would be all set up in the On Account Fields..a new field for Email address's along with the snailmail addresses and such info.

??? it this possible??

Yes, it is possible, but I don't know how effective it will be.
I don't get any bills e-mailed to me and no one has ever asked if I wanted to receive them via email. Have you?

I mean, they would have to print the email and return it with their payment. You would have to ask for delivery confirmation and then hope that they act on it immediately after they read it or it might end up in the "Deleted" folder.

We already have an email field.
I hope you are using it!
If you haven't you should start ASAP
If you want to go back an enter addresses for customer whose profiles are already entered, go into Edit/View Customer, bring the account up and press E-Email Address

We receive eBills for Gas, Water, Phone ... just to name a few.

More and more companies are progressing in that direction. We're seeing an increase in the number of companies that want to pay direct to our account - completely paperless.

Hmmm, I don't get ANY e-bills at home and no one has asked if I want to receive them UNLESS they can take the money automatically from my checking account or credit card.

In other words, take the possibility of me forgetting about or deleting the email right out of the picture.
A paper bill stays around the house, maybe around for a while before it gets paid, but seeing the envelope reminds you that you have to pay it.

Unless you are very carefull with your e-bills... out of sight, out of mind. Just my opinion, but it is certainly doable. I'll work on it.

George, I agree but

I agree that having a piece of paper in your hands and an envolope does remind you that the bill needs to be paid.

Email of statements would be good for those Company Accounts who seem to "forget" to pay the paper statement. I will start asking for Email addresses from our Company accounts and if I gather the addys of the Accounts Payable Departments it could be a interesting tool to try.

I know of several companies that offer services to eBill customers. Example: ePost lets companies eBill customers, rather than have them set up the technology on their own. Royal Bank has Web Dox for the same purpose. Rogers Cable and MasterCard do the same.

All your bills come to one place, online, where you can securely pay them. It's very useful, and very popular.

That's right, half of my monthly bills are all Ebills, perhaps it's more of a Canadian thing. Some shops want their statements sent Email also.
